50cent challenges Conor Mcgregor to a fight in the streets
Mayweather Jr. and McGregor blessed the Barclays Center in Brooklyn this past July to promote their boxing match in Las Vegas. Conor, draped in a fur coat and designer floral pants, trash talked Mayweather Jr. and had no problem bringing 50 Cent into the mix.
“50 Cents a b—ch,” said McGregor, after greeting the people of New York City. “You and 50 are two fake money b–ches. He’s bankrupt and you’re about to be.” (He’s eating those words now, as Floyd dances in his $100 million winnings.) Connor continued with the insults… “I want you to take this and listen to this and learn how to maintain a real empire,” he said, holding JAY-Z’s 4:44 album. “When you’re done, send it to 50 and tell him Blanco sent you.”
At the time, 50 only took to social media to respond to McGregor’s allegations about his finances, but the rapper may be saying something differently!
Post press conference, 50 posted on his Instagram, “What the f–k wrong wit this white boy, you fighting Floyd not me fool. LOL” After Floyd won the fight, 50 posted a photo of McGregor getting the snot punched out of his nose. He captioned the picture: “And this is for calling me a b–ch. LOL Knocked the snot out your ass.”
Appearing on Tuesday, September 12’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, 50 told viewers his take on Conor. Responding to a caller’s question on whether he has spoken to Floyd since the fight, 50 said, “Yea, hehe just got out there. I was like, this fool didn’t know if he was fighting Floyd or me. Where did that come from?”
Looking back on the moment now, 50 can laugh about the situation. “He was doing his job,” he said. “He was putting on a show. And making sure everybody was paying attention.”
Andy jokingly asked 50 if he thinks he can take McGregor. With a serious face, 50 answered, “In the street? Yeah!” He continues to joke with Andy about how unfair a fight between him and Conor would be. “Come on,” he says. “He’s probably 150 pounds, man.”The 42-year-old business mogul turned body builder stands at approximately six feet tall and bounces between a weight of 200 and 225 pounds, a vast difference compared to 29-year-old McGregor.
